The construction of Glory Divine Academy began in mid-2010, and the school officially opened its doors to students on 9th September 2014 under the leadership of Mr. David Annan-Bonny, now Nana Dr. David Annan-Bonny. Inspired by his vision for the institution, the school adopted the motto “The Torch Bearer”, symbolizing that every child who graduates from the school will become a leader and forerunner for their family and society. The first batch of students, consisting of four (4) girls and three (3) boys, were admitted on the opening day, and by the end of the first term in 2014, the student population had increased to 24. These early learners were taught by a dedicated team of six teachers—four females and two males—across three classrooms, with one additional classroom serving as the administration office.Founded on the Christian faith, particularly the Methodist tradition, Glory Divine Academy embraces students from all religious backgrounds, including Christians, Muslims, and other faiths. The school operates according to the Ghana Education Service (GES) standard curriculum, with a focus on well-trained and motivated staff who instill discipline and good principles in students from an early age.
To be a world-class and leading private institution, setting the standard in education and development.
Glory Divine Academy exists to promote excellence in education and holistic development through teaching, coaching, and the provision of high-quality learning materials, supported by a team of highly qualified, dedicated, and motivated staff.
Over the years, Glory Divine Academy has grown to include an ultra-modern computer laboratory, where students learn the latest computing languages in line with the GES standards. The school operates from Crèche to Junior High School (JHS) and has consistently recorded a **100% pass rate in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Our extra-curricular activities, including Sports, Music, Dance, and Cadet, are designed to nurture students' talents and aspirations. We aim to develop students who will make a meaningful impact in their families, society, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Ghana. In line with our mission, students are presented with national and international challenges, allowing them to tackle real-world problems in areas such as administration, systematic processes, and general solutions under the guidance of our capable teachers. This approach encourages students to develop into critical thinkers and problem solvers, prepared for success in a rapidly evolving world.
At Glory Divine Academy, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Our wide range of extra-curricular activities is designed to nurture the talents, creativity, and leadership potential of every student. These activities provide an opportunity for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build strong relationships with their peers. Here are some of the exciting extra-curricular programs we offer:
At Glory Divine Academy, our Crèche Department warmly welcomes learners aged 1 to 2 years, offering a nurturing and playful environment that lays the foundation for future learning.
The Nursery Department welcomes children aged 2 to 4 years with engaging activities that foster creativity, literacy, and foundational skills. It’s the perfect place for young minds to explore and grow.
In Kindergarten, for children aged 4 to 7 years, we focus on key pillars of learning—Literacy, Numeracy, Creative Arts, and Our World Our People—preparing students for the next stage of their academic journey with confidence and curiosity.
The Lower Primary at Glory Divine Academy comprises Grade 1 to Grade 3, where every learner receives equal attention to thrive academically and creatively.
The Upper Primary Department builds upon the strong foundation laid in the Lower Primary, serving as a critical transition stage to Junior High School (JHS). At this level, our skilled facilitators carefully guide learners to excel academically while fostering critical thinking and personal development.
At Glory Divine Academy, the Junior High School (J.H.S) department represents the pinnacle of our academic structure, where students receive the highest level of basic education, preparing them for the next stage—Senior High School.
